The Maiden Lab

We are the Maiden Lab, a research group of scientists and clinicians based at the University of Oxford, UK. We use genomic data from bacteria to help understand infectious diseases, how they spread, and how they can be treated. We also run PubMLST, an online open-access database of bacterial genomes. You can learn more about our work here.  We all contribute to the Genome Detectives citizen science project from time to time.
